Chuks Nonyem Katherine Nnamdi Thank you, Mum October 4, 2018
Dear Mum,

Thank you. We were so blessed and still are blessed that we had you as our mother. Thank God you existed and lived with such a purpose.

We saw you overcome so much in life with dignity and unmatched strength and we are inspired to this day. You are unforgettable and have left an indelible mark upon our hearts and lives.

We will surely miss your kindness, love, patience and care. We will also miss your cooking, your singing, your style, your eloquence and your presence.

You were a wonderful mother. You were also our dear friend.

We commit you into the hands of God now and hope to see you again.

We love you and always will.

Love,

On behalf of Chuks, Nonyem, Katherine & Nnamdi.

Awuneba Ajumogobia Kemi Ohiaeri October 2, 2018

Kind, gentle, smiling, effortlessly beautiful, grounded, understated, elegant, God-fearing... a few words that come to mind as I think of Kemi.

As a Mother... Kemi was outstanding - totally  devoted to her children.

I last saw Kemi at a Church Service where she had performed  with her Church Choir. It was wonderful to catch up with her... refreshing as always.

I received news of Kemi’s passing with shock, disbelief and great sadness.

My prayer is that God comforts and strengthens Chucks, Katherine, Nonyem, Nnamdi, her siblings and other loved ones.... that the happy memories they share will always bring smiles as they remember her.

With Sincere Condolences,

Awuneba Ajumogobia

Kemi's Siblings Adieu, Farewell October 1, 2018

Time, they say, heals all wounds. But is this true? Kemi, the news of your sudden passing was a big shock to all of us and the pain is still fresh in all our hearts.

As beautiful as you were externally, so were you internally.

You were very caring, volunteering with agencies that cared for the less fortunate.

Kemi, you could whip up a delicious 3 course meal, in a heartbeat.

Your Pride and Joy were your children, for whom you strived to give the best, any mother could give.

We will miss your lovely voice.
Indeed you could sing.
We will miss your jokes .
We will your high pitched laughter.
We will miss You, Kemi.

Adieu, Farewell,

Your siblings.

Christine Ademola Remembering Kemi August 24, 2018
I remember when I first met you, Kemi. You and your family had just moved back from England. Both our fathers were doctors and friends, and your father brought his family round to our house. You were nice, full of fun and we got on well and I hoped I would see you again. Well, I did! The holidays were soon over, and back at school, guess who was the new girl in our year?!! It was lovely to meet up again. I just wished you had been in my form, not the other ‘P’ form!

And then school days were over and one lost track. The next time I saw you was at the hospital. I was at the hospital for an ante-natal appointment  and suddenly this cheerful, welcoming voice just called out my name!  It was you, Kemi!  You had just started to work there and you looked after me. I didn’t mind going after that, as you were always there to chat with!

Later, our children went to the same nursery and primary schools and I saw quite a bit of you. And then, lost track again.

It was such a shock to hear you’d gone. We will never meet on this earth again. But I will see you in Heaven, and I’m sure you’ll be just as sweet natured and full of fun.

God bless, Kemi. Rest In Peace.

Usy Macleod My condolences August 21, 2018
I received a phone call from Stella Amachree that Kemi had passed away. The first question I asked, was she ill ?  she said no!  I m still in shock. Kemi I remember was very kind and soft spoken, always there with good advice and always willing to help even when she had her own challenges. I lost touch with Kemi after we moved back to the UK but I never stopped thinking about her. Both of our lives went opposite direction when we moved away to Egypt and I know that we never forgot each other. I pray that God will give her children and family the strength they need to deal with her passing.

Rest in peace my friend.

SIS. OLUWAKEMI OHIAERI LIVES ON

My daughter forwarded a message she received from Katherine to me asking a very simple question, " mummy is this true?" I said to myself, if it came from Katherine Ohiaeri, Sis. Kemi's daughter then it is very true. What a news! It came hard and strong, a huge shock indeed, a total disbelief. We had been chatting all week long even up until 10.19pm, the night before her departure from planet earth.

I have so much to write about Sis. Kemi Ohiaeri yet words elude me. She was a beautiful child of God inside out, an epitome of His grace. She was good, loving, caring and kind hearted, ever ready and willing to listen to others and to give words of encouragement and hope in her very gentle, soft spoken manner. Sis. Kemi was pure in heart and a sincere human being. She gave her very best to meet the needs of others. She loved God dearly.

We first crossed paths at the Mountain of Fire And Miracles Ministries (MFM) Gospel Choir group in 2009 and built a godly, true and healthy relationship. As we discussed life and family issues, I saw the loving mother she truly was. Her love, desires and anxieties for her children could not be underestimated. Their total well being and success in life were paramount to her and she loved them dearly. Sis. Kemi's was also fully committed to what she believed in.

One of my fondest memories of Sis Kemi was the kind gift she gave me on my 60th birthday which she carefully presented in a gift bag with the following inscription;

God wanted to give me joy,
So He brought me laughter.
He knew that sometimes I would need to be built up,
So He gave me strength.
To encourage me,
God sent a friend...
I THANK GOD UPON EVERY REMEMBRANCE OF YOU.
Philippians 1:3

She remained faithful to the writings on the gift bag to the end of her sojourn here on earth. A faithful, reliable, supportive, trusted and dependable friend and sister in The Lord Jesus. At both my daughters wedding ceremonies, she did not fail to play her role as a supportive friend either. She was a great friend indeed! Yes, we had a lot of fun and laughter together. We accompanied each other to weddings and joyful celebrations as well as attended musical concerts and orchestral performances. I will surely miss her company.

Sis. Kemi will definitely continue to live on in the hearts of those who love and cherish her. It was a such a privilege to have met you my dear friend. Adieu Sis. Kemi. Adieu a woman with a heart of gold, a God fearing lady. Good night sister in the Lord!!

Mrs Taira Akpan With a heavy heart... August 9, 2018

With a heavy heart, I celebrate a very precious sister and friend, Mrs Oluwakemi Arinola Ohiaeri.

Kemi, the 4th of July would have been your birthday. But Jesus decided he wanted you home with Him to celebrate in a new body instead...so He called you home to be with Him on Friday, 29th June 2018.

Oh, what fun and a blessing it was handling our first 'big' assignment at MFM Prayer City together! My hand was shaking so badly as I held the sheet of paper from which I was reading that you reached out to help me hold it! We laughed afterwards about how funny we must have looked.

You were a wonderful person. Extremely beautiful, inside and out. Sooo loving and caring!

I thank God for your life.

Caring for your family and serving God singing in the MFM Gospel Choir and reaching out to touch lives so you were a blessing everywhere: that's all that mattered to you.

Kemi, enjoy sweet rest in perfect peace at Home with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, while the Holy Spirit comforts your precious family and all who loved you, in Jesus name. Amen.

Goodnight Kemi. Goodnight.

Doris Telfer Tribute from Doris August 9, 2018

I write this with great sadness over the untimely death of a close friend and  I pray that God will present her with His crown of glory. Her name is Mrs Kemi Arinola Ohiaeri. She was a wonderful friend to me, Supported me for over fourteen years with her gentle and caring nature. One of her beliefs in life was the importance of being honest and authentic with people. I always admired how she never judged or forced her opinion on anyone but offered valuable and truthful advice that I will surely miss. Her sudden death came with so many questions, lessons and memories.

I met Mrs Ohiaeri through work over fourteen years ago. We were always placed to work together where and whenever we worked. We became close friends.

Let me describe my friend. Kemi was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She was loving and real. She was a wonderful mother to her four children and a strong foundation for them. The most focussed Christian, kind, softly spoken and honest person I ever met. She was humble and highly intelligent individual.

We share so many moments of laughter and joy but also some personal sad moments which life throws at human beings as we journey through life. She was always steadfast in her faith, family oriented. Her family was her life. She was sacrificial, selfless and a good listener, she always listens however trivial the problem was. Kemi always wanted to be strong for her family and hated being vulnerable, constantly fasting and praying, taking every challenge and problems to the Lord in prayer. She was a role model to me and to many of her friends.

My most memorable moment was the day we got baptised together. After the baptism,we sat, joyfully, sang praise and worship songs. She continued to be a person who offered comfort, fun and motivation to  me. Thank you for being there for me always. You were a big influence in my life. Thank you for being such a great friend.

I miss our phone calls, our talks and sharing of bible scriptures, talks about the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ, always reminding and updating me on Church programs and special sessions/services.

I am glad and of great comfort that you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and has gone to heaven. I pray that we all meet there someday. I love you and you will ever be in my heart. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

Beejay My Favorite Aunt August 9, 2018

Dearest Aunty Kemi,

Where do I start from? I'm still struggling to accept the shock of your sudden departure from this cruel world. You were much more than an Aunt to my siblings and I...actually more like a second Mum. I remember when we were much younger and our Mum was away for a while on an official trip, you tireless ensured that we didn't lack any goodies! In fact, Aunty Kemi's house was always our favorite destination growing up because of the genuine love and warmth you constantly emanated.

Growing older, I knew I could always count your unwavering support, solid counsel and prayers... all these invaluable ingredients helped shaped the man im turning out to be by GOD's Grace... even moreso, I know you were a strong pillar not just for your children, nephews and nieces but everyone you came across. I'm convinced everybody needs an 'Aunty Kemi' in their lives.

Most of all you were a firm believer in our LORD JESUS CHRIST. I guess that's why HE chose to take you to be by HIS side and leave the struggles of this world behind. Therefore, even though we are consoled that you are with our LORD and Saviour JESUS CHRIST, we will still miss you terribly.

Your favorite Nephew,
Bj.

Bunmi Dear Aunt August 8, 2018

Revelaton 14:13 KJV
And i heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from hence forth. Yea, saith the spirit that they may rest from their Labours; and their works follow them.

Explanation- blessed are those who die in a state of vital union with christ.
They are blessed in their rest; they rest from all sin, temptation, sorrow and the wicked cease from troubling.

Their works follow them; they do not go before them as their title or price of purchase, but follow them as their evidence of having " lived and died in the Lord".

Also, the memory of them will be pleasant; Aunty was such a beautiful person, she exhibited the qualities of a good Christian disposition like being extremely kind, showing empathy , generous etc, to all those who met and knew her. Aunty left us all with beautiful and unforgettable memories and I'm blessed by God to have had her as my Aunt!!

Most important, their reward in heaven would be glorious!!

Mrs Kemi Ohiaeri was very supportive at the MFM HQ Youth Church during the 2012 edition of our Annual Cooking Competition.

She took time out of her busy schedule and came in to teach the youth how to cook delicious meals.

The youths loved her cheerful and friendly disposition. While cooking, they all noticed how well organised and neat she was. She taught them how to set the table properly and gave pointers on dining etiquette.

Afterwards, she assisted in presenting gifts to the winners at the competition.

May God bless her soul and the wonderful family she has left behind.

We love you but God loves you most.
