Dear Mum,
Thank you. We were so blessed and still are blessed that we had you as our mother. Thank God you existed and lived with such a purpose.
We saw you overcome so much in life with dignity and unmatched strength and we are inspired to this day. You are unforgettable and have left an indelible mark upon our hearts and lives.
We will surely miss your kindness, love, patience and care. We will also miss your cooking, your singing, your style, your eloquence and your presence.
You were a wonderful mother. You were also our dear friend.
We commit you into the hands of God now and hope to see you again.
We love you and always will.
Love,
On behalf of Chuks, Nonyem, Katherine & Nnamdi.

Kind, gentle, smiling, effortlessly beautiful, grounded, understated, elegant, God-fearing... a few words that come to mind as I think of Kemi.
As a Mother... Kemi was outstanding - totally devoted to her children.
I last saw Kemi at a Church Service where she had performed with her Church Choir. It was wonderful to catch up with her... refreshing as always.
I received news of Kemi’s passing with shock, disbelief and great sadness.
My prayer is that God comforts and strengthens Chucks, Katherine, Nonyem, Nnamdi, her siblings and other loved ones.... that the happy memories they share will always bring smiles as they remember her.
With Sincere Condolences,
Awuneba Ajumogobia

Adieu, Farewell |

Time, they say, heals all wounds. But is this true? Kemi, the news of your sudden passing was a big shock to all of us and the pain is still fresh in all our hearts.
As beautiful as you were externally, so were you internally.
You were very caring, volunteering with agencies that cared for the less fortunate.
Kemi, you could whip up a delicious 3 course meal, in a heartbeat.
Your Pride and Joy were your children, for whom you strived to give the best, any mother could give.
We will miss your lovely voice.
Indeed you could sing.
We will miss your jokes .
We will your high pitched laughter.
We will miss You, Kemi.
Adieu, Farewell,
Your siblings.

Searing pain. Crushing, unbearable, tear-drenched, heart-wrenching grief!
Kemi!!! We did not plan it this way. It was not supposed to be this way!!! Beautiful, kind-hearted souls do not die before their time. They are supposed to live forever. I thought we had all the time in the world. I took the time we had for granted. I did not make the best of it. I had no idea that you would be snatched away so suddenly! So shockingly !!
Die!! Die!!! How can Kemi die??? Your name and death do not go together.

Kemi, my intelligent superstar. Mid-wife and lawyer all rolled into one. Doting mother of Chuks, Nonyelum, Katherine and Nnamdi. Devoted and loving wife of Ben. Beloved sister of Sodi, Yewande, Ronke, Tokunbo and Yemisi. Loved and adored by all. Sorely missed. We surrender to God's perfect will.
Adieu, my sister cousin.
Adieu, my darling.
Till we meet again.

Remembering Kemi |
August 24, 2018 |
I remember when I first met you, Kemi. You and your family had just moved back from England. Both our fathers were doctors and friends, and your father brought his family round to our house. You were nice, full of fun and we got on well and I hoped I would see you again. Well, I did! The holidays were soon over, and back at school, guess who was the new girl in our year?!! It was lovely to meet up again. I just wished you had been in my form, not the other ‘P’ form!
And then school days were over and one lost track. The next time I saw you was at the hospital. I was at the hospital for an ante-natal appointment and suddenly this cheerful, welcoming voice just called out my name! It was you, Kemi! You had just started to work there and you looked after me. I didn’t mind going after that, as you were always there to chat with!
Later, our children went to the same nursery and primary schools and I saw quite a bit of you. And then, lost track again.
It was such a shock to hear you’d gone. We will never meet on this earth again. But I will see you in Heaven, and I’m sure you’ll be just as sweet natured and full of fun.
God bless, Kemi. Rest In Peace.
Christine
